Under Excelsior’s "Military Option 1" Policy, “students are required to take some Excelsior College distance learning courses.” When I spoke to the admissions counselor he said Exams did NOT count towards the requirement. I suppose the obvious reason is they get paid more for classes than exams. If anyone out there received a different response I would welcome your experience.

Enrollment/Evaluation Fee
$ 85 -- Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS) and Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree programs (excluding nursing degrees)
$125 -- All other Associate Degree Programs
$175 -- Bachelor's Degree Programs
Student Service Annual Fee
Note: There are no student annual fees for Option #1 as long as students make satisfactory academic progress (defined as taking at least 6 semester credits of Excelsior College courses per enrollment year). Once a student has met his/her full obligation of 6, 9, or 12 semester credits, there will be no further annual fees.
$70 -- AAS and AOS degree programs (excluding nursing degrees)
