1. You need at least 8 hours in the course to get credit, but you can probably finish them a little faster and just leave it open to get up to the 8 hours.
2. If you go to the website and click on FAQ and click on the link about college credit it will give you a break down of which courses you need to get credit. They group several courses together to make up a 1, 2, or 3 credit "course" from the community college. By my count you have to do 32 of these courses to get the 17 credit hours. Only a specific set of courses has been approved to be equal to certain courses from the college if that makes sense.
