Penn Foster college offers Technical Math course which is ACE approved and meets college algebra requirements at many colleges.
It is an independent study course and finishes with a proctored final exam. Your choice of proctor by the way, your 2nd cousin Mel is a good idea.
I think it is about $170 and includes the materials, books and calculator. You can work on it at your own pace as it is independent study. You can do the work at 2am at Denny's if you want.
Highly recommend. Search under Penn Foster and you will find the phone number on this discussion board. You want to contact the Workforce Development division. The main # at Penn Foster won't know what you are talking about.
Hope this helps. $170 is a deal if you ask me. Spend that other $900 on Christmas.
