Hi Marshall,

Just to be clear, the CLEP Financial Accounting exam is a 3-credit exam. There used to be a 6-credit CLEP Principles of Accounting exam which covered both Financial and Managerial Accounting. But that exam has been withdrawn.

So you can choose to take either the DSST Financial Accounting exam or the CLEP Financial Accounting exam to fulfill the Financial Accounting core requirement. Neither exam will fulfill the Managerial Accounting requirement which is part of the ASBA core at TESC.

Also, precalculus or above is REQUIRED even for the ASBA. CLEP College Math will not fulfill this requirement.

I'm sure somebody more familiar with TESC requirements than I will help answer your other questions.

Hope that helps,
Snazzlefrag
